7 ways to treat your body better 💕




This "love note" is for you if you’re struggling to accept your body today. And if you aren’t, maybe you will want to save this blog post for those days when you need a little bit of encouragement and inspiration 😊 Is quite normal to think if we just try another diet, exercise more and lose weight we’ll finally like ourselves and all our insecurities will go away But as someone who did the diets, overexcercised to the point of (multiple) injuries, lost a ton of weight and "finally got there" I can tell you this often makes problems worse In my own journey towards accepting my body (and myself), I’ve learnt to ask better questions and I discovered that this one, is particularly powerful… I no longer ask myself "why can’t I be more toned/lose weight/stick to a plan?" I now ask: "how can I treat myself better" The first question used to keep me stuck in negativity (and trigger me to diet … only to then binge) The second question ignites me and fills me with creativity, possibilities and a sense of love towards myself Here’s a list I personally developed of the course of my own recovery journey in the hopes it can inspire you: 1. MOVING MY BODY IN A WAY THAT FEELS GOOD 2. CHOOSING NUTRIENT DENSE FOODS SUCH AS FRUITS, NUTS AND SEEDS, HEALTHY FATS, VEGETABLES, GOOD QUALITY PROTEINS, WHOLE GRAINS & LEGUMES

3. FORGIVING MYSELF FOR "IMPERFECT" CHOICES 4. CHOOSING 1 BODY PART TO FOCUS ON APPRECIATING TODAY 5. GETTING 1 EXTRA HOUR OF SLEEP IN THE MORNING 6. SWAPPING ½ CUP OF COFFEE FOR 1 GLASS OF WATER 7. TAKING MY SUPPLEMENTS AND THEN AGAIN TOMORROW AND THE DAY AFTER AGAIN
