Almost 2 years ago, I received an email from a woman I had met not too long before who, upon finding out I was a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, told me right away, “I need to work with you!”.

If I’m being honest, as excited as I was to potentially help her, I wondered if after finding out I’m not your typical nutritionist (i.e. I don’t put women o strict diets, detoxes, cleanses, and I don’t make them track their food or abide to schedules and meal plans) she would still find me a good fit to help her.

A few weeks after that encounter, she reached out telling me about what was going on and why she wanted my help.

She mentioned food had been a struggle for her since her 20s. She wasn’t a drinker or a smoker but said food “is my vice. I am an emotional eater and I think in a way food has been both my comfort and my enemy for decades”.

She then told me about how she would spend millions of hours thinking about her weight, what she should eat, what she shouldn’t eat

She also had legitimate concerns around what is a woman her age supposed to eat when hungry, was she supposed intermittent fast or not? Was she getting enough protein and eating the right type of breakfast?

In closing, she said that although she had many questions and felt she “definitely need to lose some weight”, she guessed her goal would be to develop a healthy relationship with food, to learn what to eat to fuel her body properly, and how to stop emotional eating.

Over the course of that year and last year, I went on to receive slightly different versions of this same message.

Women were reaching out telling me they needed help navigating these kinds of questions, and expressing this was both challenging and important to them.

What these women were describing was both unique to each one of them, yet incredibly relatable.

For some women, it’s about creating habits that would support their health and help them bring more "order" into their lives (again, their words).

For other women is about living in a body they are conflicted about because they don’t fully trust and may even feel rejection towards.

And for others, it’s about the fact they accepted diets are not for them, but they still feel trapped, confused as to how to nourish their bodies and often bouncing from restriction, right into overeating.

Over the course of the last 2 years, I used absolutely every single tool I had in my toolkit to help these women navigate these scenarios, answer these questions, help them overcome uncomfortable physical symptoms, and perhaps most importantly, transform their relationship with food, with their bodies and how they see themselves.

Throughout that time, I kept learning, training and researching so that I could continue supporting them and bring the best, most up to date evidence-based, knowledge and skills.

So today, I’m sharing with you what I’ve been working on behind the scenes since the fall and finally introducing:
